The Search For Clarity Is Where It Begins

Updated: Dec 16, 2022

Whether you're reading this before or after the book, I'm glad you've found it. The Guardian Universe is unusual for many reasons, and I hope by sharing some of it's backstory to give you a lens through which to understand it.

But first things first: let me introduce myself. Insofar as my profession, I write, direct and produce tv programs. My most recent project was the final episode of the series Inexplicable, on US Cable Network TBN, and hosted by Dennis Haysbert. I wrote and directed the documentary, tracing the journey of Christianity to Africa, Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.

If you're interested in checking it out you can find it on TBN's catch up service.

Prior to this, I produced, wrote, and directed the mini-series The Jesus Trek with Pastors Brian Houston, Gary Clark and Ben Houston. A inspiring series set in Israel, it contains an important message, more relevant today than it ever was.

And so goes my resume, often skewed to pioneering projects in the faith genre. And so in a way, The Guardian Universe continues in that theme.

Though the Son of God sits radiant at the centre of its design, The Guardian Universe sweeps wider and longer than traditional presentations of the gospel. It sets a path to make sense of both the mortal and immortal hemispheres that make up not only the world around us, but also the inner workings within us. I have set out to explain the gospel in terms of both what can and cannot be seen.

None of that is to say, then, that it is a complex book. Rather than academic, it is, at least in my estimation, simple.

Years ago, when I attempted to explain faith to my young son, I found my grasp of these elementary truths woefully underwhelming. When put to the test by a six-year-old, I found my grasp of how faith actually worked wanting. This then, to a large degree, framed my own search for clarity. Why shouldn't I be able to ask simple questions and find simple answers? God says that we should seek and expect to find. And so, though I didn't know it at the time, my own journey began.

Here now, six years on, I know for sure I've been given what I've asked for. Clear sighted clarity, not only for me and my family, but for anybody else seeking the truth.

To the brave hearted and open-minded that is what I have to offer. Keep your eyes and ears open, ask the hard questions. By keeping in mind what he has said, he himself will make his truth evident.

Welcome to The Guardian Universe.

"In that day you will no longer ask me anything. Very truly I tell you, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete."

John 16:23-25 New International Version

Reflect on what I am saying, for the Lord will give you insight into all this.

2 Timothy 2:7 New International Version

So where to now?

If you would like to start to listen and or read through the books, you can find chapters right here on the website.

In response to reader feedback I've also started recording videos where I talk through and expand on the ideas in each chapter. If you'd like to check out these you can find them here.

It is a privilege to be with you in this way on your journey.
